True need is an impasse,  a trench that stretches out before far too many people in our community. For some, the suspension may be momentary, a matter of circumstance, an odd month between paychecks. Yet others stare into far wider canyons. At God’s Storehouse, we are called upon to reach across  this emptiness, no matter how vast or narrow. Our gifts extend like bridges, guiding neighbors over hardship and back onto solid ground.

If a brother or sister is without clothing and in need of daily food, and one of you says to them ‘Go in peace, be warmed and be filled’ and yet you do not give them what is necessary for their body, what use is that?
— James 2:15-16
